Senior Power System Engineer

As a Senior Power System Engineer at Minesto, you will have a key role within an international, dedicated development team working towards the commercialisation of a game-changing renewable ocean energy technology with global expansion potential. We offer a high-paced, dynamic environment at the core of innovative climate tech.
Your Role
You will be working in the Electrical and Controls Group based in Gothenburg, but expect to travel on occasion to our operational sites as well as to suppliers.
Typical duties for you could be:
- Analysis of national grid codes and grid operator’s requirements and implement them into Minesto’s kite systems.
- Use simulation tools to simulate dynamic electrical loads on individual kite systems and on array level.
- Design electrical medium voltage system for kite system/arrays, including cables, switchgears, measurement units, and transformers.
- Participate in testing and commissioning of electrical systems, to verify function and performance, and that our systems fulfil grid code and other requirements.
Your Qualifications
Key Qualifications:
- MSc in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- Professional experience from power systems
- Knowledge of and experience from simulation programs and power system tools like Power Factory
- Experience from cable studies and selection
- Experience from grid integration projects
- You are fluent in English
Merit Qualifications:
- Holds a “Fullständig auktorisation typ A”
